Banks Cottage is a family home in the village of Chapel Stile in the Lakes.
Two bedrooms - sleeps four
Village location - Co-op and pub just minutes away
Central Lake District
Great walking location
Banks Cottage is at the top of the village of Chapel Stile, backing onto a fell called Silver How. It is fantastically tranquil - yet within walking distance there is an excellent shop (always quote 212 when you buy anything), two pubs and some of the best walks in the Lake District.
The cottage has been in the family since 1953 so is full of character, but also warm and comfortable at any time of year.
What’s in the cottage:
Living room with new wood burner
Kitchen with cooker, fridge, small washing machine and small dishwasher
Downstairs cloakroom and loo with boot storage
Bedroom with king-size double bed and double duvet
Bedroom with two single beds and single duvets
Newly refurbished upstairs bathroom with bath, loo and shower
Good wifi and a landline telephone
Central heating
Lots of books about the Lakes, and general fiction
Guidebooks and maps
Stereo with bluetooth
A cupboard full of board games
What to bring:
Bath towels
Bed linen (duvet covers for one double and two single duvets, pillow cases and bottom sheets)

There are countless wonderful walks from the cottage. It takes about an hour to walk over the fell behind the cottage into Grasmere.
