We try to rent Banks Cottage out for as little as possible while still being able to pay the bills, council tax, roof repairs, etc. We realised how uncommercial we were being when we discovered that the cottage next door, which is half the size, was being rented out for twice as much! But we’d rather it was used and loved by our friends than something we make a killing out of.
We don’t believe in penalising people for taking holidays during school holidays, so the price is the same all the year round. Following a decade of keeping the prices the same, we’ve finally had to cave to rising energy costs so the prices are now as follows:
£420 a week
£100 for one night
£90 a night for two nights
£80 a night for three or more nights
We don’t have a cleaner, so please give the cottage a good clean when you leave. However, if you would prefer to have the cottage cleaned after you go, please contact Margaret Birkett on 015394 37512 who will organise for her daughter to clean.
